If you are a passionate leader, superb communicator and have a strong background in insurance, you will play a critical role in fulfilling our commitment to our Policyholders.  As a member of the leadership team, you will start your journey with Grenville Mutual by reporting to the President/CEO and then transition to report to the Chief Finance & Operations Officer.

As the Manager, Underwriting, you can play a key role in fulfilling this commitment.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Accountability for creating, implementing, and evolving our customer and distribution experience
  • Oversight of a team of insurance professionals ensuring understanding of expectations and timelines, providing guidance on complex applications
  • In depth understanding of our underwriting guidelines
  • Building a high performing, service-oriented team
  • Coaching, mentoring, and training soft skills including relationship management, negotiation, conflict resolution and sales skills
  • Developing, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving processes and service standards

Requirements for the successful candidate:

  • A minimum of 8 years insurance industry experience is required
  • University degree, college diploma in a relevant field or CIP designation
  • Exceptional people leadership skills required
  • Customer focused; service oriented
  • Efficiencies oriented and an ability to lead change
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example building a collaborative work environment
